Academy Etiquette
IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT HOW WE ROLL
01. RESPECT AND COURTESY
- Show respect to peers and instructors at all times.

Avoid using obscene language, ill temper, or discrimination.
02. SAFETY AND CLEANLINESS

All students share responsibility for Academy safety and cleanliness.

Turn in found items and report safety concerns to management.
03. PUNCTUALITY AND PERMISSION
-
Arrive on time and be ready to go once class begins.

Obtain instructor permission if you will be arriving late or leaving early.
04. CLASS PROTOCOL

Sign in before you hit the mats. Class will begin once everyone is signed in.

Line up in descending rank with attendance cards at the beginning of class.
05. BEHAVIOUR IN CLASS
-
Remain attentive and quiet during class and refrain from unnecessary chatter especially during Professor’s instruction.

Control Temper during training.
06. UNIFORM ETIQUETTE
-
Wear a clean, odor-free uniform in good condition for every class.
-
Professors can deny training for unsanitary Gi.
07. UNIFORM REQUIREMENTS
-
Wear complete Gi with jacket and pants.
-
No-Gi classes require rash guard and shorts.
08. DRESS CODE AND ITEMS
-
Don’t wear street attire on the mat during classes. This includes hats, outdoor shoes, and jewelry.

Academy is not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen items.
09. PERSONAL HYGIENE
-
Maintain impeccable personal hygiene due to close-contact nature of training.

Trim nails and avoid sharp edges.
10. HEALTH AND INJURY REPORTING
-
Report injuries, health issues, and skin conditions to instructor before class.
-
Training with infections will result in a ban from the academy upon discovery.
