“Congratulations to all my students on a successful day! They showed some great technique and submissions.” -Bibiano
We are already celebrating a victory after being open for only 16 days!
On Nov. 18th, our small but mighty team of 4 competitors brought home 5 Gold from the Pacific Northwest Open BCJJF Jiu Jitsu Championship.
We couldn’t be more proud of our newest members achievements, they are setting the bar for future competitions for our academy!
-Ken MacKenzie won Gold in Gi
-Donnie Barrett won Gold in Gi
-Mitchell Kurucz won Gold in Gi and No Gi
-Alicia Alegre won Gold in Gi and No Gi
Donnie posted on Instagram:
“Huge thank you to my Coach @bibianofernandes and @flashacademymartialarts, training me in the right way of jiu-jitsu. I took home gold today in heavy height 207.8 and couldn’t be happier!”
Congratulations to all and we look forward to many more wins from these competitors! Oss!
Our first competition was a success and we didn’t disappoint!
Even though we barely made the deadline, our newest members who had worked hard to train for this event made us proud!
Up and coming 16 year old Mitchell is one to watch. He is already showing for his young age that his explosive power will dominate the mats!
Donnie was focused and with the support of Professor Bibiano and Coach Jeremy in his corner, he walked away with a W!
Alicia representing the ladies from Flash Academy won two gold medals in Gi and No Gi categories. Don’t let that sweet smile behind the desk at the gym fool you, this girl is a beast on the mats! Congratulations Alicia, we are proud of you.
Ken won several medals at the BCJJF including his gold. We are grateful that we have this calibre of students honing their skills at our gym.
